Exploring the space between control and freedom.
About
Where structure meets intuition.
Nikita Kramer is a contemporary abstract artist whose practice explores the relationship between material, structure, and intuition. Rooted in the aesthetics of Minimalism and Brutalism, her work investigates the tension between order and unpredictability, restraint and expression, stillness and movement. Working primarily with acrylic paint and sand, Nikita creates textured, monochromatic compositions that move beyond the traditional flatness of painting. Through layers of material, irregular formations, and sculptural surfaces, she explores how colour and texture can shape perception and evoke a sense of depth. Her artistic process reflects a personal dialogue between structure and freedom. While deliberate decisions establish a visual framework, the material is allowed to develop organically, leaving room for spontaneity and imperfection. Inspired by the raw architectural language of Brutalism, Nikita continues to develop a visual identity defined by reduction, materiality, and experimentation. Rather than seeking perfection or fixed interpretations, her work embraces the unexpected — discovering complexity within simplicity and freedom within structure.
The interaction is tactile but the artwork remains central.
